Cybercriminals aremass-distributing fake emailsin Bulgaria, posing aslaw firms, with the goal ofinfecting recipients' computers with a Trojan virus. TheCybercrime Unit of GDBOPhas warned peoplenot to open such emails.

According toCommissioner Svetlin Lazarov, the scam email falselyaccuses recipients of trademark copyright violationsand urges them toclick a linkfor more details.

?The link leads to amalicious website, which downloads aTrojan virusonto the victim's system. Once infected, the computer becomescompromised and accessible to third parties,? Lazarov explained.

Authorities also noted thatscammers create these emails easily, usingrandomly generated free email accountsto distribute them.
